Cookie Dumps

A One-Bowl Recipe

COOKIE DUMPS, oreo dump cake recipe

These Cookie Dumps are perfect for busy days when you need a quick treat. They’re called “cookie dumps” because they include a little bit of everything–protein powder, fiber, peanut butter, coconut, almonds—into a single bowl. It’s like a creative dump of flavors, resulting in these delicious cookies.

Plus, they’re customizable based on what you have in your pantry.

Here’s how to make them:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels (or any other salty snack you have on hand)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the oats, shredded coconut, chopped almonds, chocolate chips, and crushed pretzels. The dough will be thick and chunky.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Expert Tips:

  • Don’t overmix the dough; a little texture is good!
  • If you’re adding really salty ingredients (like pretzels), consider skipping the additional salt in the dough.
  • Enjoy these cookies with a glass of milk or your favorite hot beverage!

Feel free to get creative with your mix-ins—raisins, dried cranberries, or even a sprinkle of sea salt on top. Happy baking! 😊🍪
