DO YOU RECOMMEND A SPECIFIC DIET?
As an integrative health coach, I believe a holistic approach to wellness begins with the concept of bio-individuality. While a vegetarian way of eating may work well for one person, perhaps eating lean meats is a better way of life for another. In theory, all foods can be eaten in moderation. Diets that are difficult to maintain for the long term should be avoided.
SHOULD I COUNT CALORIES?
The concept of calories in and calories out has scientifically based evidence linked to weight gain and weight loss. I believe it is important to understand the formula for both. It helps to determine your own resting metabolic rate (how many calories you burn while at rest) to avoid overeating and have a basis for setting goals. However, for people who have disordered eating, it is important to recognize healthy boundaries around calorie counting. Any time a person is focused on perfection, it is a concern, and we will want to create safety around the wellness process.
WHAT DOES IT COST FOR HEALTH COACHING SESSIONS?
My fees range according to the services requested and the length of time we will work together. For sure, one on one coaching costs less than a daily dose of café mocha latte. Typically for every hour we work together live, I am dedicating between 2-8 hours between our sessions, preparing. If I am developing content for your website or a webinar, I will factor in time for preparation and research. Each client or company has a request for different skillsets on my end, and therefore I determine my fees accordingly. Please inquire for more details.
HOW CAN MY COMPANY BENEFIT FROM YOUR EDUCATION?
Corporate wellness programs are the best approach to preventative healthcare. Studies show a significant reduction in absenteeism, reactive care, and employer savings when employees attend educational webinars and engage with their corporate wellness team. As a wellness advisor for large companies including Blue Shield, County of Orange, and The City of Los Angeles, I have seen the impact of health education firsthand. When employees have incentives to learn more about their physical and mental health, they have a higher chance of being healthier and happier at work.
WHAT IS YOUR AREA OF SPECIALTY?
As a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach, I specialize in supporting clients with all their wellness goals. Keep in mind, my role is one of goal investigation, support, and accountability. I have additional training and certifications in emotional eating and gut health. I am also trauma informed and utilize an empathetic approach with my clients working through PTSD, as they set new goals. Recognizing the impact trauma has on the brain is essential before we embark on a path of change. Of course, anything to do with medication or a medical diagnosis is out of my scope of practice and should be determined by a medical doctor.
