Strawberry Mango Sorbet
Blender vs. Food Processor
Finding the perfect consistency for your homemade sorbet can be a fun and delicious experiment. I recently tested both my blender and food processor to see which consistency we liked better for my strawberry mango sorbet. I also compared the taste with maple syrup vs. honey as sweeteners.
The decision was split, but personally, I preferred the food processor and maple syrup. Regardless of your choice, this sorbet is incredibly tasty and refreshing.
– 1/2 cup water
– 1 overflowing cup of frozen strawberries and mangos
– 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
– 1 fresh lime, squeezed
– Optional: chocolate chips
Directions
1. Pour 1/2 cup of water into the blender or food processor first. This helps the blending process.
2. Add an overflowing cup of frozen strawberries and mangos.
3. Add 1/3 cup of maple syrup or honey. Both sweeteners work well, so choose your favorite.
4. Squeeze the juice of one fresh lime into the mixture.
5. Blend or puree the mixture until smooth. The blender creates a smoother texture, while the food processor offers a slightly chunkier consistency.
6. For an extra treat, you can mix in some chocolate chips after blending.
– Pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for a fun and refreshing treat.
– Pour into a bowl and freeze until firm. Scoop and serve as a sorbet.
Taste Test Results
– Blender vs. Food Processor: The blender produced a smoother consistency, which some people preferred, while others liked the chunkier texture from the food processor.
– Maple Syrup vs. Honey: The choice between maple syrup and honey was evenly split. Both sweeteners bring a unique flavor, so try both and see which you prefer.
This strawberry mango sorbet is an easy and delicious way to enjoy a refreshing treat. Whether you use a blender or food processor, and whether you sweeten with maple syrup or honey, you’re sure to enjoy the fresh and fruity flavors.
Enjoy and stay refreshed!
