Thanksgiving is a time of warmth, gratitude, and of course, delicious food. If you’re looking to impress your guests with a dessert that’s as eye-catching as it is tasty, these apple rose pastries are the perfect addition to your festive table.
Ingredients:
- 2 organic honey crisp apples, thinly sliced
- 1 pack of ready-made biscuits or croissants
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup coconut condensed milk
- Ground cinnamon, for coating
- Butter, for brushing
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a mini muffin pan.
- Prepare the apple slices by washing the honey crisp apples and cutting them into thin slices.
- Roll out the dough from your pack of biscuits or croissants until flat, then cut into 1 1/2” thick strips.
- Caramelize the filling by warming up the creamy peanut butter and coconut condensed milk in a saucepan over medium heat until slightly thickened.
- Assemble the pastries by spreading the caramelized mixture onto each strip of dough. Place the apple slices near the top edge of the strip, slightly overlapping, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Roll them up tightly from one end to form a rose shape and place each one into the prepared mini muffin pan.
- Brush the tops with melted butter to ensure a crispy finish.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve these charming apple rose pastries warm, perhaps with a dollop of whipped cream or a sprinkle of powdered sugar. They’re not just a treat for the taste buds but a feast for the eyes, making your Thanksgiving presentation unforgettable.
