Corporate wellness is everybody’s business

Corporate Health Coach

As a corporate health coach, I collaborate with companies who are looking for ways to inspire their employees to achieve personal, physical, and professional goals.

What I Offer

The definition of wellness is personal to each of us. As a passionate educator, I approach each relationship from the unique perspective of “you.” My approach to education, fitness, writing, etc. begins with an assessment of the company or individual I am contracted with. See below for the services I offer and reach out with any questions or clarifications. I am here for you!

Additional Services

MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKING FOR ATHLETES, COMMUNITY & SOCIAL EVENTS

Being an elite athlete requires consistent motivation and grit.

Having worked with professional athletes both as a professional dancer and public speaker, I understand what it takes to overcome setbacks such as rejection, injury, and traumatic life experiences. Rarely does the diverted path of life lead us directly to our goals and dreams. It is an honor to share my failures and successes with others in a motivational forum.

COOKING DEMOS

Many companies love offering their employees live and virtual healthy cooking demos. Options include cooking together over ZOOM with a pre-established menu and shopping list or observational demonstrations and instructions. Some companies or private parties have very specific themed requests and others prefer I determine the menu.  This is a fun way to inspire, reward, and/or engage your employees in a unique way.

ONE ON ONE HEALTH COACHING

Inspiring people to take the next step towards overall health and wellness has been highly rewarding. The majority of my time is spent in a corporate setting, and I will consider working with individual clients who are ready and committed to lasting change and the effort this requires. In person and online options. Serious inquiries please.

PANTRY RAID/HEALTHY GROCERY SHOPPING EXCURSIONS

Health food stores are my actual theme parks. Researching and shopping for delicious, healthy alternatives to our everyday menu choices is my expertise. Food is not our enemy and depriving ourselves of the joy of eating can be dangerous to mind, body, and soul. If you are looking for a one-time pantry clean out and educational shopping trip or even a grocery list to give you a jump start, I am here for you.

My Coaching Process

PHASE ONE

Whether coaching individuals, teams, or employees, my first phase is to determine the needs of the client. I spend time understanding personal history, and assess readiness for change. This is also where we determine if we are a good fit for one another.

PHASE TWO

Once we have established our compatibility in working together, I have clients take a self-assessment. This helps both of us identify the areas in life that are thriving and those where clients are seeking growth. The client indicates their purpose. As a coach my role is to empower realistic and lasting change.

PHASE THREE

In this phase we begin prioritizing areas of transformation. We determine together what steps the client will follow through on. Small incremental changes that a client will follow through on are focus areas. I avoid giving grand advice, because people inherently know what they want to change and what they can commit to. This falls under the category of intrinsic motivation. It is inside of us, not coming from another person’s agenda.

PHASE FOUR

The final phase of coaching, especially with individuals, is to plan for continued growth and/or longevity in the areas of change already achieved. Typically, clients determine areas of strength and together we choose whether to work on a new goal or facilitate maintenance. When we transition out of coaching, it is important to celebrate every area of growth, large or small.

LET’S GET STARTED

What is your greatest wellness desire?

Really? If you could improve anything in your physical, mental, spiritual, financial, or social wellness, what would it be? This is an excellent journal prompt. Quick…grab a piece of paper and write without stopping or editing for 5 minutes. Take a moment to reflect on your content.
What is your inner voice saying?

FAQs

DO YOU RECOMMEND A SPECIFIC DIET?

As an integrative health coach, I believe a holistic approach to wellness begins with the concept of bio-individuality. While a vegetarian way of eating may work well for one person, perhaps eating lean meats is a better way of life for another. In theory, all foods can be eaten in moderation. Diets that are difficult to maintain for the long term should be avoided.

SHOULD I COUNT CALORIES?

The concept of calories in and calories out has scientifically based evidence linked to weight gain and weight loss. I believe it is important to understand the formula for both.  It helps to determine your own resting metabolic rate (how many calories you burn while at rest) to avoid overeating and have a basis for setting goals. However, for people who have disordered eating, it is important to recognize healthy boundaries around calorie counting. Any time a person is focused on perfection, it is a concern, and we will want to create safety around the wellness process.

WHAT DOES IT COST FOR HEALTH COACHING SESSIONS?

My fees range according to the services requested and the length of time we will work together. For sure, one on one coaching costs less than a daily dose of café mocha latte. Typically for every hour we work together live, I am dedicating between 2-8 hours between our sessions, preparing. If I am developing content for your website or a webinar, I will factor in time for preparation and research. Each client or company has a request for different skillsets on my end, and therefore I determine my fees accordingly. Please inquire for more details.

HOW CAN MY COMPANY BENEFIT FROM YOUR EDUCATION?

Corporate wellness programs are the best approach to preventative healthcare. Studies show a significant reduction in absenteeism, reactive care, and employer savings when employees attend educational webinars and engage with their corporate wellness team. As a wellness advisor for large companies including Blue Shield, County of Orange, and The City of Los Angeles, I have seen the impact of health education firsthand. When employees have incentives to learn more about their physical and mental health, they have a higher chance of being healthier and happier at work.

WHAT IS YOUR AREA OF SPECIALTY?

As a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach, I specialize in supporting clients with all their wellness goals. Keep in mind, my role is one of goal investigation, support, and accountability. I have additional training and certifications in emotional eating and gut health. I am also trauma informed and utilize an empathetic approach with my clients working through PTSD, as they set new goals. Recognizing the impact trauma has on the brain is essential before we embark on a path of change. Of course, anything to do with medication or a medical diagnosis is out of my scope of practice and should be determined by a medical doctor.
